Alternative Cropping Systems with Limited Irrigation

A limited irrigation study involving four cropping systems and evaluating crop rotations was initiated at the Southwest Research-Extension Center near Tribune, KS, in 2012. The were two annual (continuous corn continuous grain sorghum) 2-year (corn-grain sorghum corn-winter wheat). In 2020, yields similar for all rotations, although averaged across past 8 years, greater following wheat than corn. There no significant differences which to multi-year average. Wheat below
